Dutch Hallow Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we took the family to the Dutch Hallow pumpkin patch in Riverbank. The kids have really been wanting to go, especially Landon who sees all the pumpkin patches in the car when we're driving. While there are many things about this age that I don't LOVE, there are some things that I do LOVE, like the way he says Pumpkin Patch.

The kids love these huge pumpkins, they tried moving them around but it was much harder than they thought.

Long gone is the day when I can get a cute picture of all three kids looking at the camera smiling....

I love his face in this pic, he looks pretty bored, but really he was having fun.

Sisters...when they aren't fighting they really do love each other

my cute hubby

Grace is making her best pig noise...landon is also making some kind of animal noise, i don't think he got that he was not an animal

I love that kids will jump in and play with anyone, like this random boy that they decided to bury.

Landon was bummed...okay TICKED that we weren't going to the pumpkin patch on Oakdale road because they had a jump house, and he wanted to go in. I have issues with that place, they are owned by the same people that had a smoking Santa out front a few years ago.. not cool. Anyways he was super excited to see that Farmer John had hauled in some mattresses and covered them with tarp for JUMPING!! A little different but it worked!

Hay ride....

The horse that licked all over Landon...

We don't have any pictures of the cow that was there apparently in active labor. We thought that he had other problems but apparently was just trying to give birth. We're going to go back tomorrow night to see if she had her baby.
We LOVE October......Stayed tune for more fall fun!

Yummy yummy Carmel Apples

A few weeks ago Lisa and I and our SIX kids got together to make yummy carmel apples. We had a lot of fun and they were SO delicious!!

The kids hard at work peeling their carmels

Lisa hard at work STIRING the carmels, I think she's using too much NECK to stir!

Delicious---Delicious

We had a great topping bar set up so the kids could fix up their own apples

Mine is the Rocky Road!

Landon just plucked off all the candy and ditched the apple

I love how wide her eyes get when she bites into it!

Thanks friend for a fun afternoon, no pictures what the aftermath of all this sugar was...pretty off the HOOK though, lots of screaming, running and chaos, fun though, really!

Date Night

Friday evening after a long hiatus we got to go to the Oakland Temple with our friends the Garietys. It was a fun and spiritual trip, we got there right as the sun was setting. It was an amazing view, one that my camera does not due justice to.

The boys... and the girls

I love to see the Temple at night, we went up to the deck and watched the view of the Bay, Amazing!

At the Temple we ran into some friends from our old ward. They went with us and the Garietys to this amazing candy/icecream/deli in Castro Valley. This is why I love fall:

Rocky Road Carmel apples!!!! Are you KIDDING me? I didn't get one, because they were a small fortune, but they WILL be made this month, wait for THAT post!
