Our Girly Man

I think that having two sisters is rubbing off on Landon. He loves to play dress up with the girls and now he is even pursuing this on his own. He also loves to wear heals. Yesterday I couldn't find him and I went into the bathroom were I found him pretending to curl and straighten his hair. He's pretty funny!

These are pics of when Grace got out all the Pretty Pretty Prince jewelry and dressed her brother up. What a good sister.

Happy~Sad

Today while Landon was asleep the girls and I had some time to do a little project. I had them look through magazines and find pictures of people who looked happy and pictures of people who looked sad. After they finished I asked them "What makes people feel sad"? Grace: Spankings!! Me: Mmmhmmm....what else? Grace: (yelling this time) Spankings!!! Me: Right anything else? Grace: When they're not being best friends.

Hannah: When their daughters aren't listening and when their friend doesn't love them anymore. Then I asked: What makes people happy? Grace: When you give them hugs and kisses, and when you get the snow globe put on. Hannah: When you say you're sorry and when you give someone presents.

We had fun with our little project, the girls love cutting pics out of the magazines and Grace is getting better with her scissors, have I blogged yet about her hair cut she gave herself?!?!? I feel I need to make a disclaimer that Grace hardly ever gets spankings....for the record, good to know it makes her sad though!

I love how she holds it right in front of her face!

Mia & Maggie

A few weeks ago we got to have Maggie and Mia over for a visit. She is the cutest little girl! It has been way too long since we last saw each other. We hung out with the family and then Mia, Mags and I went shopping. I sure do miss my old college friend!!
~ Mia blowing kisses~

Didn't really get a cute pic of me and Mia but it's better than nothing.

Landon loved to give Mia love. Surprisingly he was very gentle towards her and gave her lots of hugs. I'll keep this pic handy to remind them of their young feelings for each other.

Maggie could totally be the mom of all three of these kiddos. She is so patient I really couldn't even imagine her yelling. I miss you so much Mags and am so proud of the mom that you have become. I love you to pieces and miss our cheeking!!

Our Sunbeam

This year Grace became a sunbeam at church. This means that she is no longer in the nursery (sniff sniff) and she gets to go to the big primary. She was so excited and ready for this transition. She looked so big sitting in her class and was even answering questions. She is the sweetest girl and we love her to pieces.

This is her new smile. It's kind of creepy but so cute, she was actually THIS excited to be going
!
Hannah was excited to have Grace join her in the primary. We look forward to hearing about what she is learning and hearing her new songs. Her new fave is SCRIPTURE POWER. Pretty cute when the girls starts singing it together.

January

This year has been off to a rough start to say the least. Hence why our blog is still sporting the Christmas theme. Scott's grandma passed away unexpectedly last week. We were able to spend the week with family and visiting with some who we have not seen in a really long time which was nice. We had her funeral on Saturday after an emotional and exhausting week. We will miss her and look forward to the day we will see her again.
Landon woke up Sunday morning pretty sick. He has been sick since the beginning of December with a pretty nasty cough and it just got the best of him. He was really lethargic and having a hard time breathing. Which all led us to his FIFTH count them fifth hospitalization. He only was in for two days until he could maintain oxygen on his own. We knew he was pretty sick when they came to draw blood and he just watched them. By the time we left he had his personality back and was chatting with anyone who would listen. I am so in love with this little guy and could not imagine my life without him. It breaks my heart to see him sick. He was SO happy to come home last night but I think I was even happier! Here's to a new year..... hopefully healthier and a bit more peaceful!

Did i mention that in the chaos I have misplaced my camera?!?! I will find it and post all of our winter break pics, someday!

Christmas Day

Christmas day started bright and early at our house. The kids woke up and were trying to peek downstairs. Hannah looked at me and said, "Mom there are only two stockings!" I was joking and said, "Do you think everyone was good?" She totally started to cry and said she was good. Sad that she assumes if someone wasn't getting one that it would be her. Quickly I assured her that there were 3 stockings! We had fun watching the kids open there kids. Landon was still really only interested in the fishing pole from last night, only now he knows how to cast it and its pretty messy! What's NOT to love about these fancy pink shoes?!?!?
After gifts we had a really nice breakfast and just hung out playing with the new toys the kids got. For dinner we went to the Smith's house for some yummy tri-tip and then headed back to our house for dessert and presents. At the Smith's house the kids got to make gingerbread houses which was really fun. Poor Hannah had another unfortunate incident with this gingerbread house. In a rush to get to the door she dropped the whole thing and it was unsavable.

Started with a lick............. And then he just ate it.
Merry Christmas everyone. We hope that everyone had a great day!

Christmas Eve ( A Little Late)

The Underwood family has been in the full holiday swing of things. I haven't been able to keep up with the blog but wanted to post about our holiday. We spent Chirstmas Eve with my dad, step mom and step brother. It was nice and quiet and we had a really nice time. The kids were pretty excited to get to open their presents....the beginning of present mania! This picture is right before they got to open their gifts...you can see that they're getting pretty excited.

Grace and Hannah each got these cute new puppies which were a big hit. They walk them everywhere. Over the summer we had gone camping and the girls got fishing poles. Landon was obsessed with them and was constantly trying to take them away. So Papa and Grandma got Landon his very own pole.

After he opened it there was nothing else that he wanted. When we asked if he wanted to open another present he would yell "NO". When I put a present in front of him he pushed it out of the way with his pole.....and this cute face is what happens when you take the pole away!
