Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween

The Aunties came to spend Halloween night with us. The kids were fun to take out, but they each had their own agenda.

Hannah was out to get the most candy.

Grace was out to give away the most candy

Going on a Leaf hunt

This afternoon we needed to get out of the house and decided to go on a leaf hunt. The trees in our neighborhood are beutiful right now and we had so much fun looking for different kinds of leaves. The kids had so much fun although they got a little tired towards the end. When we got home we made leaf collages and hung them on our wall. What a fun fall activity!!

This pic was took before landon took
a bite out of the leaf!

The kids were pretty tired and
needed to "rest".

They were so proud of their art work!

Feed Me

So Landon has been on some meds since his asthma flared up this week, three of the meds are steroids, so my already hungry boy is apparently now famished. He had a full pancake breakfast this morning before church. Prior to sacrament was passed he found the bag of crackers I packed for all three kids and devoured them. After he had his bread he pretty much took poor Mike out next to us trying to get more and again with the water. He would watch the deacons to the end ofthe row and then look at the row behind us....kind of like a puppy waiting for someone to drop something. Half way through the hour he realized that sweet little dainty Emma behind us had a SNACK.....Landon was turned around on the bench yelling "Emma.....Emma...Emma...." until finally he got a cracker which he inhaled in one bite and started begging for more. I swear we look like we don't feed this boy....thankfully one of the meds we finished today!!

Pumpkin Time

Wow what a busy Saturday! A woman named Ilse from church came by in the morning to bring the kids some Halloween goodies....so thoughtful of her. The kids were so excited, partly about all the candies and goodies but mainly because she let them check out and play with her super cool motorized wheel chair! The kids had so much fun (ahhh... the little things in life).

Grace had her coloring within 2 minutes of ariving... These kids act like they are starved of attention.

Landon was pretty excited to learn how to make the the chair go... the beeping horn was an added bonus.

So after Ilse went home and some naps (trust me it was more work than it was worth) we headed to the pumpkin patch. We were nervous this morning when it started to rain but it actually turned out pretty nice. The kids had so much fun, they even got to feed the animals. The corn was a big hit also. After they each picked out a pumpkin which to my surprise were pretty small. They had so much fun and were pretty worn about by the end of the day. Another great Saturday....we love the Fall.

I think that Landon believes he is a dog.
FYI: There are two cows that are about to have babies at the pumpkin patch....perhaps an educational opportuninty....what a site that would be!

Mia & Maggie

Maggie and I have been friends for 8 years now. She is one of my best friends and I just love her to pieces. We met in college and have been friends ever since. Maggie has a new (well not brand new like 9 months old) baby named Mia. Cutest baby....and we haven't seen Mia in awhile. This blog is intended to act as a little peer preasure/guilt i don't know whatever works....for Mags to come visit and bring that cute little baby with her. Oh yah.... you can bring Tim with you also, we love him too!

we love you guys!!

Put it on our Tab....

So Landon woke up Wednesday morning kind of snotty....took him to daycare anyways (b/c that's the kind of top-notch-mom I am). I took his breathing machine and Michele gave him a treatment when he got there, I felt pretty okay with this, Michele is AWESOME and her daugter's have had asthma so she knows the ropes. Needless to say the asthma continued dispite meds. After two visits to the doctor's office (by the way the new Doogie at Gould has grown on me) he was admitted. We got to the hospital....Memorial Peds Ward and they were like, "Landon, wow you're getting so big." Do we think that everyone is greated like this or just the frequent flyers? He only had to stay over night so that was a huge blessing. He got to ride in his favorite go-cart and is a favorite amongst the nurses and Respritory therapists. How can they resist his big huge smiles and all that chatter. We are so grateful that Papa Rick works at Memorial, he is really good about relieving me for bathroom breaks and brings yummy treats, not to mention Landon loves to see him. We are so glad to be home....Landon is WIRED on three differnt types of steroids so he is all over the place. Our home doesn't feel complete at the end of the day without everyone it.

Landon's in the Nursery!!

So today Landon officially joined the Nursery at church, now that he is 18 months. We were so excited for him to join and can't wait to see all the new things that he will learn. Our girls have learned so much through the nursery program and have been well prepared for primary. We are truly thankful for those who serve in the nursery as we know how tiring this can be!! Landon lasted almost the entire time, I checked in on him with 20 min to spare which resulted in a massive meltdown and Landon leaving the nursery. He joined me in relief society until we had to leave because of the loud raspberries he was blowing!! Can't wait for next week!!

We love Saturdays!!

We had quite the busy day today. The boys were excited to use their saws and cut the tree back in the front yard...we were hoping that this would help us get the DISH working but no luck. It was still fun to be out and Landon had so much fun helping Daddy and Papa move all the branches! The girls were in their room most of the time trying to find the motivation to clean it. It's like pulling teeth to get them to clean.

This hard worker needed a break....

After our project was done we came in for lunch. Every time Landon took a bite his eyes closed, eventually they did not open and he was sound asleep. What a cute boy!

So after all the hard work of the morning the girls had their friend Emma come over for a play date. They had so much fun dressing up for their "shows" and taking pictures. It's so fun to see them grow together, they are getting so big.

Saturdays are one of my favorite days. I love spending time with our family, even if it is just hanging around the house doing chores. The kids love to pitch in and help and feel like big helpers. I am so thankful for my family, their smiles and laughter warm my heart.
