Can I get a BIG needle?

So there was good news and bad news today. The good news is that the third biopsy that I had last week, which included 8 samples, came back completely negative of any abnormalities. The bad news... the doctors are not entirely convinced that these are accurate results since much of the sample was cystic and there was not a lot of tissue. SOOOO, we are gonna do this for the 4th time. This next one will be an endoscopy (think long camera/tube down your throat) and they will use the SUPER needle, hoping to get one big piece of tissue. Sounds like ooobers of fun right?
I am actually pretty grateful for the patience and support that the doctors at Stanford have given me. They don't make me jump through hoops and two of the specialists called today to keep me in the loop...such great care. They are going to present my slides, scans and pathology (physical not mental) at the tumor board this week, and they got the slides from Kaiser that originally said were "pre cancerous", so they will do pathology on those as well. We are keeping our fingers crossed that those slides were contaminated and my pancreas just decided to grow a little something extra in there. If it is truly benign it can stay in me forever... if not out it will come.
For now my pancreas needs a little break, too many needles poking it so we will wait a few weeks to repeat. In the mean time think....normal cells, normal cells, normal cells!
